MetaMask is not safe for an average computer user. I had my wallet emptied a few days ago. I did not give the seed words or private key to anyone. It may be that my computer is hacked with malware or key stroke spyware, or I was fooled by a fake exchange site. In any case, it's way to easy for a hacker to steal through the web browser extension. Buy A Hardware Wallet!
